For tracing long, non-metallic conduits, the GeoMax 8/33 Dual Frequency Sonde is an indispensable tool. This compact signal transmitter secures to different equipment such as drain rods, boring tools, and inspection cameras. You then use the attachment to maneuver the sonde inside the service that is being inspected. The EZiCAT Cable Locator will detect its transmissions to determine the path of the cable or pipe.
With a depth range of 17 ft (5 m) and a choice of operating range between 8 kHz and 33 kHz, the GeoMax 8/33 Dual Frequency Sonde will cover most situations for detecting and locating services made of non-metallic material. Its small diameter of 1.5 inches will make it useful even for the smallest of pipes.
Using a single AA alkaline battery, this device will run for up to 40 hours of continuous use. The alkaline battery means that if you run out of power, the sonde will accept any readily available standard AA size power source.
This device is also designed to work with the GeoMax EZiROD Trace Rod and the GeoMax EZiTEX Signal Transmitter for a complete pipe and cable locating solution.
