Dependable, worth the price

I've been surveying for close to 30 years and have used just about every brand of tripods available. In my opinion, if you want a quality tripod that will standup to a wide variety of environments and conditions, buy Leica. With a little care, these tripods will give many years of reliable service.

Typical Great Quality from Leica

These legs appear to be solidly constructed & well thought out. The legs lock together for storage & carrying without a strap which is handy as the strap buckles are always a weakness. Leica has produced some shorter tripods that were not adequate for taller users but this set is definitely tall enough.
